On a Quiet Night

by Li Po
I saw the moonlight before my couch,
And wondered if it were not frost on the ground.
I raised my head and looked out on the bright moon;
I bowed my head and thought of my far-off home.

This poem is really interesting becasue it was easy yo read and also the point was very clear. the images in it were cooll because they made you think of being away from something and the feeling it created was good.
The Sentence

by Anna Akhmatova
And the stone word fell
On my still-living breast.
Never mind, I was ready.
I will manage somehow.

Today I have so much to do:
I must kill memory once and for all,
I must turn my soul to stone,
I must learn to live again—

Unless . . . Summer's ardent rustling
Is like a festival outside my window.
For a long time I've foreseen this
Brilliant day, deserted house.

in this peom the images were good since they represented stuff and it made me feel like there was something heavy holding me. also tyhe mistery of not knowing the sentence made it even better.
